My system team telling me to force our agent use proxy. I told them there is no configuration for agent to use proxy, Only for repository configuration where we can add proxy settings.
They need to use group policy to force proxy settings in IE correct? is there anywhere in ePO that we configure proxy settings before we generate agent package for deployment?
Hello @User16096767,
Thank you for your post. As you mentioned there is no option to configure proxy settings for Agent deployment, the only option is to configure it is through Repository policy.
The smartinstaller can have proxy info configured in it - refer to the MA install guide.
‑a "Proxy
address" ‑p
"Proxy port"
Specifies the proxy server address and the port number (Windows and Macintosh
only).

How exactly are you looking to deploy the agent?
If you want to push it out, (assuming on-prem ePO) this uses SMB, a Microsoft protocol which does not support the use of a proxy .
If through an agent update task, then the agent will use the configured proxy.
Thanks,
Jason
