What about a black rating by the SiteAdvisor ?

I seem to have seen a black rating by the SiteAdvisor, in the presence of malware, in which case the malware also tried to hide the SiteAdvisor 'window'. (including making it smaller?)

A black rating is not mentioned in the FAQ. Could it have been something else masquerading as a SiteAdvisor window, or is 'black' not mentioned for some reason ?

RE: What about a black rating by the SiteAdvisor ?

That means it's somehow disabled.

The only reference to this that I can find was never solved: http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/showthread.php?t=163728
Also it is very old so may not even apply.

Dear Riddlez,

We received your message enquiring about the black rating of SiteAdvisor. Thank you for contacting us.

The SiteAdvisor toolbar color changes to black, if the site visited is an exploit or a phish. Please refer the thumbnail.

Thank you for being a McAfee customer.

I live and I learn.....! Might be a good idea to update the FAQ...?
