Firefox Version 67 has removed McAfee WebAdvisor add-on / extension

Jump to solution

This morning Firefox web browser on my PC got upgraded to Version 67 and it seems to handle add-ons or extensions differently now, so has removed the McAfee WebAdvisor add-on/extension from my FF browser. Is there any way I can get it back, as I use FF as my primary web browser ?

Thanks for your feedback. I found it strange that McAfee WebAdvisor remained enabled on my HP Notebook's FF which I updated to version 67 yesterday, but it simply disappeared from my FF on my Dell PC at home. Anyway, I downloaded the stand-alone McAfee WebAdvisor from their website and installed it again. This time it showed up on FF-67 as a new add-on and prompted me to enable/disable in Private Window. Also, other add-ons like AdBlock Plus remained enabled in FF-67 on my Dell PC. So, guess it had something to do with McAfee add-on. Anyway, matter resolved 🙂

When I updated my Wife's FF yesterday I saw a popup saying it does not support Webadvisor but to update to a newer version which I did and it dos. Mine updated from 66.0.5 I think to 67 5 minutes ago and WA fine as per the pic below.

Rty to update again and check the add ons
