webwasher7 update engine status snmp

Jump to solution

Hello Everybody,

i have to check the webwasher engines are up to date. i hoped i can do this with snmp. But i am only find the OIDs for the EngineVersions not for the date of the last update.

Has anyone an idea how I can achieve this?

thanks,

tobi

This is possible using SNMP traps (instead of polling the OIDs) using the Incident IDs for updates.

For information on setting this up check out this guide:

https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-4837

For example, you could send a trap on the following IDs:

850 - MGAM Update Success

851 - MGAM Update Failed

852 - MGAM Download Failed

853 - MGAM Up to date

The full list of incidents can be found in the product guide on page 485:

Web Gateway 7.3.2 Product Guide - https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=PD24502

Hi Tobi,

I cant answer your question, but I can add to it! It would be nice if we could get somthing like an XML parseable page with the current engine versions, like on the fron page of contentsecurity.mcafee.com. That way I could make our Nagios check and alert when we drift more than X away from current.
