hi we're running webgateway version 7.7.2.16 we're trying to access the the gateway gui from a win 2019 server using the latest version of firefox or chrome unable to use the java plugin as it's not supported in later versions and if i try to use the mwg-ui webstart method the application fials to run is there another way to access this webgateway version from a 2019 server using latest browsers? thanks sheldon

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

Some quick info here.

Version 7.7.2.x is EOL/EOS now for which we dont provide engine updates as well.

This version was declared EOL/EOS on 12/31/2019

I suggest to upgrade your MWG as soon as possible to an latest/supported MWG version and with that in newer versions you get option to login to MWG GUI using HTML.

thanks for the reply

I am aware that this version is eol, however we are not able to update to a newer version currently

what I need to be able to do though, is log in to the gateway via the web browser rather than cli

is there a way to do this with the latest browsers (java plugin seems to no longer be supported )?

First, you can try to install Oracle Java JRE 8u201. As far as I remember, it was the last version compatible with MWG 7.7.2.

To access Web Gateway Java UI, open in a browser URL: https://MWG-ADDRESS:4712/ or http://MWG-ADDRESS:4711/ if you are using HTTP.

Do not log in. At the bottom there is a link to download Web Gateway UI Java Webstart. Do it (download it). Run saved jnlp file which will start Oracle Java and you will access MWG UI console.
