progress page issue with language pack designer

Jump to solution

Yesterday we uploaded our custom language pack to our web gateway version 6.8.6.

When users try to download files the progress pages just hang, and if you hit f5 for a refresh it says the file is downloaded but gives no download button. Anyone else experience this same issue? And/or what is the resolution?

Wrong page.

The progresspage.html, with the title of "Downloading..."

There may be something in the javascript that's preventing the refresh to occur. I recently found an error in the <!--Action--> section that would not refresh properly.

If you paste this into the Action section of the Downloading... page, and regenerate the pack, it should fix it.

<script type="text/javascript">
        function timedRefresh(){ setTimeout("location.href='%refreshurl%'",%refresh%000); }
        window.onload=timedRefresh;
</script>
<form name="form1" method="post" action="%refreshurl%&cancel">
   <input type="submit" value="Cancel" />
</form>

If that doesn't work, when you are using the progress page and it won't refresh, View the source of the page and paste the HTML and email to me directly to look at.

Theres nothing between the action tabs now, paste the script right in between there correct?

Erik,

Today we had a chance to import and test the new language pack with the tweaked java script in the action filed. Downloads were working fine for clients using firefox but IE was not working. Once the download would finish with IE it would say it was complete but not offer a download button, then when you right clicked in the title bar to download the file, it reverted back to the old default mcafee language pack page with the download cancelled error.

Any ideas how to fix this? Have you had these issues before?

Thanks
