create youtube access rule

Hello community, I would like to ask you the following query: in the web gateway console I have just created a rule so that certain users have access to YouTube because no one should have access to YouTube, only a few, however when performing the tests it does not work.

Could you please help me with your comments.

Re: create youtube access rule

Hello,

I think some more details would be helpful.

How does your rule look like? Please share some screenshots.

What does "does not work" mean? All users able to access Youtube? Noone able to access Youtube? Please share some details.

Did you take a look into a rule engine trace?

Andre

Re: create youtube access rule

Hello,

the list is not filled with correct values. The criteria says "URL is in list" which means valid entries look like this:

https://www.youtube.com/

You cannot use wildcards or pieces of the hostname only.

Because the list is not correct the first criteria is not met. Since the criteria are combined with an "AND" this means the first one is false, so the second one is not evaluated at all (since the rule can't match).

You may want to use a wildcard list or work with URL.BelongsToDomain to make the rule work. You can find examples here:
