admin (Super Admin) account role set to read only admin

Jump to solution

Hi,

The Super Admin role has mistakingly been set with the 'read only admin' attribute while intergrating and placing external users into roles.

Can this attribute changed via via the cli/ssh as root as the admin user is now set read only.

Thanks

Logon to ssh with the root account:

[root@mwgappl internal]# vi `cat /opt/mwg/storage/active_configuration`/internal/adminRoles.xml

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>

<set>

  <adminRole id="com.mcafee.k.adminrole.superadmin">

    <name>Super Administrator</name>

    <dashboardVisible>true</dashboardVisible>

    <policyRulesVisible>true</policyRulesVisible>

    <policyRulesCreate>true</policyRulesCreate>

    <policySettingsVisible>true</policySettingsVisible>

    <policySettingsCreate>false</policySettingsCreate>

    <policyListsVisible>true</policyListsVisible>

    <policyListsCreate>false</policyListsCreate>

    <configurationVisible>true</configurationVisible>

    <accountVisible>true</accountVisible>

    <logFilesVisible>true</logFilesVisible>

    <permissionsVisible>true</permissionsVisible>

    <readOnly>true</readOnly>

  </adminRole>

</set>

Change the highlighted line to <readOnly>false</readOnly> and save.

[root@mwgappl ~]# /opt/mwg/bin/mwg-coordinator -F `cat /opt/mwg/storage/active_configuration`

[root@mwgappl ~]# service mwg-ui restart

You should be able to logon now.
