WebGateway GTI request

Jump to solution

Hi,

Could someone tell me how does the web gateway send the gti request to the gti cloud?

One of our customers asked me what is the format of the requests. Is it an URL hash or the original URL that the WG send for validation?

Thanks,

Zoltan

Hi Zoltan,

MWG sends the full URL to GTI (one of our cloud servers) over a TLS tunnel. We send the full URL because any part of the URL could contain important information which helps us categorize it properly.

Best Regards,

Jon

Hi Zoltan,

from my point of information nothing is sent to GTI cloud unencrypted. MWG should use SSL/TLS.

I woud suggest doing a TCPDump and showing this to the customer.

Cheers
