Has anyone been able to make sense out of the SNS that was sent out regarding Web Reporter and Java 7u45?
The linked article in it seems to speak very much to a server environment, and it's not terribly clear if it applies to client side java, or a server deployment of it (as Java is used by Web Reporter it seems).
I can't find a deployment.properties file on the Windows 7 clients we use to connect, nor can I find it in the WEb Reporter package deployed on the Linux server. And when testing with Java 7 u45 on the client, we can't log into the web reporter web gui.

Edit the deployment.properties file to allow WebReporter access to the user policy file:
- Navigate to the appropriate location and open deployment.properties:
- Windows 2008: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.properties
- Windows 2003: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.properties
- Add the following line:
- Save the change.
- Close all instances of Java, then log in to Web Reporter.

Web reporter I recently re-tried (we use it rather infrequently) and it does seem to work under Java 8u45 at least. The URL for the web reporter is added to the Java site list in the security tab under the Windows 7 Java control panel options. I don't
