Web Gateway VMware - Procedure to add CPU / Memory

Jump to solution

What is required to add a CPU to a VM instance of MWG 7.3?  We have a single CPU box right now (testing) and are seeing some CPU issues.  Simple as adding vCPU or memory and rebooting?

That makes it nice and easy!  Thanks!

One quick follow up - How can we tell that MWG is seeing the CPU?  In MWG6 you could see it it in the charts.  In MWG7 i can't find a way to see if the extra CPU is recognized.

Hi,

you can either connect to the appliance via console or ssh and run "lscpu" or "nproc" or inspect content of /proc/cpuinfo directly.

From UI you can create a feedback file at Troubleshooting -> Feedback (disable "Pause [...] to create a backtrace (recommended)" and you won't have any measurable impact on the MWG). The resulting zip archive contains a file called details.txt where you can find information about number of CPUs, memory and running services.
