Trying to upgrade to 7.2, getting dowload errors

Jump to solution

When upgrading from 7.1.5 to 7.2 I'm getting these errors:

Error Downloading Packages:

syslinux-3.86-10.mlos1.x86_64: failure: syslinux-3.86-10.mlos1.x86_64.rpm from mlos-7.1.5-updates: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

initscripts-8.45.30-2.mlos1.12.x86_64: failure: initscripts-8.45.30-2.mlos1.12.x86_64.rpm from mlos-7.1.5-updates: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

All other packages from the upgrade downloaded properly. Should I wait and try later or could this be a serious issue?

TIA!

Yo,

Lets try this, it looks like your MWG is still looking for 7.1.5 updates...

rpm -qa|grep mwg #(post the output of this command)

If it shows the 'yumconf' package for an old version, lets remove it:

yum remove yumconf-7.1.5-mwg

yum remove yumconf-7.1.6-mwg

Then when you do the upgrade again, follow the release notes (as I'm sure you did ):

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=PD23737

Here is the commands to summarize (do one at a time):

yum clean all

yum remove yumconf-beta

yum install yumconf-7.2.0-mwg

yum upgrade yum yumconf\*

yum upgrade

BTW, open a support case if you havent already.

Hope this helps,

Jon
