Simultaneous logon restriction - Reset PDStorage

Jump to solution

Hi all,

I use this policy to regulate users's simultaneous logon.

"Simultaneousworkstations" is configured on 5 minutes

then, if i want to immediatly delete the association ClientIP-Username, how can I do that? is there a way to reset (on demand ) the PDstorage?.

I've tryed to disable and re-enable the ruleset, but doesn't work.

If I disable the Ruleset the user can go on internet (of course), as soon as re-enable the rule the client return blocked.

thanks a lot

kind regards

Hi Andre,

thanks for your answer,

I've modified the rule set "Simultaneous logon restricition" and I've inserted the rule "Flush PDStorage", where "utest" is the user that i would to wipe.

On this way I should preserve other data, relating other users, right?

FLUSH PDSTORAGE.JPG

would like to use this rule (enable and then disable) like a "wipe" button.

is it correct?

thanks a lot!

kind regards

Hello,

there is no button or similar to wipe PDStorage. However there is an event called "PDStorage.DeleteAllGlobalData" which will flush all the global data from PDStorage. You have to create yourself a rule which triggers this event in order to flush PDStorage.

Best,

Andre

Hello,

sorry I missed your post. The rule should work OK, it will only delete the record for user "utest". You need to pay attention on how the user name looks like. The user might not be "utest" but something like "DOMAIN\utest" or similar. The access.log should show how the correct username looks, otherwise rule engine traces may help.

So far it looks good.

best,

Andre
