Set appliance offline without removing from the cluster

Hello

We are working with a cluster consisting on 8 appliances.

We would like to put two of them in offline mode without having to remove them from the cluster or  having tur them off.
Is this possible?
If so, how?

Thank you.
Regards.

Re: Set appliance offline without removing from the cluster

Hi Maitane,

Could you clarify what you mean by offline? Do you not want the policy to synchronize? I dont see a need to take an appliance offline as the appliances are independent from each other.

Re: Set appliance offline without removing from the cluster

Hi Jon,

I would like to perform maintenance on a scanning, and temporarily the director would not send user requests.

Thanks

Re: Set appliance offline without removing from the cluster

Hi Maitane,

At the moment, I dont believe there is a way to mark a node as "offline" to the director. The only way to do so would be to change the node's mode to Proxy Only (or Proxy and WCCP). This would disable the use of the network driver, which establishes the node as an available scanning node.
