Report of unique users

Jump to solution
Hello all, We have a need to identify every unique user that is going through our MWGs for the last 30 days. I can imagine up ways to do this in CSR but this is going to take an incredibly long time to generate (probably more than a day) and the file size is going to make it difficult to massage the data. Does anyone have an easy way to do this within MWG or CSR? Thank you.

Hello @tribunal

you can run a SQL query directly on the CSR DB, I cannot test it right now, but it could be something like:

select distinct USER-COLUMN from DB-NAME.TABLE;

Additionally you need to adjust the query to include start and end timestamp, as your request is to get a number for the last 30 days.

This is the easiest and fastest method.

Other methods are:

1. parsing access logs (depending on the autodeletion settings you can get partial results only)

2. create a PD-Storage based rule to collect uniq usernames - you need to wait 30 days to get the desired result.

We use the second solution to get the uniquenames. If you define PDs Lifetime for 30 days the user will be removed automatically from the pd storare if the use was not activ during this time.
