Re-enable SMBv1 support in MWG 7.7.2.12

We've noticed that the support for SMBv1 was disabled in MWG 7.7.2.7, the default is now the SMBv2 protocol. The problem is that  we have an old windows 2003 domain and the communication with our 7.7.2.12 appliance is now broken.

Is there any way to re-enable SMBv1 protocol in MWG 7.7.2.12?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

no this is not possible. You would need to re-image to an older version in case you already have upgraded your MWG.

In security perspective, I would suggest to update windows 2003 domain to a version that starts supporting SMBv2.

Hi Daniel,

Hope you are doing well.

MWG now only supports SMB v2. All others support smbv2 except windows server 2003.

You can also refer below link for information on which authentication methods can be used in such scenerio:-

Another suggestion might be to enable Kerberos if you cant get a newer DC stood up.
