McAfee Web Gateway How to change node with attached GUI

Jump to solution

Hi,

We have two gateways under Central Management and each gateway has currently 3 interfaces. We had the Central Management via 2nd interface but we added additional interface which is in management network and after that the node to which the GUI was attached was somehow changed. The priority is the same on both nodes and on both nodes we have allowed to attach the GUI, so I guess that it was due to some routing changes in network or on the device(added few static routes) that might have caused some latency and so the GUI did attach to second node.

Is there a way how to re-attach it to the first node as previously?

Thanks.

Hi Ales,

On the CLI of the node which owns the UI, just type: service mwg-ui restart

This will restart the UI on that node, freeing up the GUI node in the cluster.

Open the GUI on the node you desire the GUI to be attached to and it should stick to that one.

Best Regards,

Jon

Thanks Jon, that really helped.

I wonder if there's some list of commands or some documentation regarding CLI commands for different mwg services.
