McAfee HAProxy Limitations

Hello, With the replacement of the MFEND driver with HAProxy we are interested in the bandwidth/throughput of the new HA driver. Since the MFEND driver had a 1gbps throughput limitation on the director node, we want to confirm if this is still the case with the HAProxy driver. Looking at the documentation provided by mainline: http://www.haproxy.org/10g.html We are expecting the throughput to be substantially higher. Can you please confirm the new throughput limitations on the 5500 Series?

Re: McAfee HAProxy Limitations

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

Yes you can say the limit of 1GBPS still applies.

HAProxy in conjunction with MWG has only been tested in a 1Gbit scenario. We do not know how it will scale up as of now.”

For now the final performance measurement for HAProxy in a +1Gbit scenario is still to be performed and planned.
