Greetings
We are setting a new MWG 7.7 virtual appliance in forward proxy mode.
we have our internal netwrok on subnet 10.10.X.X , and external netwrok on subnet 172.16.X.X , the internal network has no internet access, MWG will route the web traffic between the two networks, each network has its default gateway and both cannot reach each other directly, I beleive one default gateway can be configured on MWG and it will be the external one as MWG will be the web gateway and will connect our network to the web, in this case we have to configure two ethernets one for internal and one for external.
How MWG respone will be routed to the clients in the internal network, is there a way to configure another default gateway for the internal ethernet?
Thanks,
Anas

Hi @Former Member,
static routes can be used to define the outgoing routes that are used. This is not related to the inboud traffic. The inbound traffic is based on your network design.
What you can do with this is to define how you want to forward traffic from the web gateway to a specific IP adress or to a special network. There you can define which gateway should be used and which outbound interface needs to be used.
Hi @Former Member,
for this you can use the option to confige static routes. So you can configure which interface should be used for internal connections. I guess that should do the trick for you.
You can find this under Configuration -> Static Routes.
This can be used for all destinations that should not be send to the default Gateway.
Thanks tpollok for you replay,
can I configure our internal default gateway as a gateway in the static route for inbound traffic ?
Thanks
Anas

yes, sure I meant the inbound to our internal network.
Many thanks tpollok for the answers, appreciated.
