[MWG]Monitoring with snmp: COUNTER or GAUGE

Hello,

I am trying to manage our web gateways with snmp.

The MIB MCAFEE-MWG-MIB.txt describe these indicators as counter64.

stResolveHostViaDNS

stTimeConsumedByRuleEngine

stTimeForTransaction

stHandleConnectToServer

stFirstSentFirstReceivedClient

stFirstSentFirstReceivedServer

stLastSentLastReceivedClient

stLastSentLastReceivedServer

When I read these values with snmpwalk, they act more as gauge than counter64.

Does anyone tried to monitor MWG performance with snmp ?

Thanks for your help.

Thierry

Re: [MWG]Monitoring with snmp: COUNTER or GAUGE

I received an answer from the Mcafee support.

The results from these OID has to be used directly and not calculated as counter.

HI,

I try to setup it.

What would be a direct OID for stResolveHostViaDNS ?
