MWG: GUI issue warning after applying the same configuration using REST API

I get a UI issue warning after export of a config and import the same config again, even if there are no any changes in it.

REST auth ...
curl -b cookies.txt "$REST/appliances/56XXX../configuration/com.scur.engine.proxy.configuration" -s -o proxy.xml
curl -b cookies.txt "$REST/appliances/56XXX../configuration/com.scur.engine.proxy.configuration" -s -X PUT -H "Content-Type: application/xml" -d @proxy.xml
curl -b cookies.txt -X POST "$REST/commit"

after the login  I get a warning popup: "Please inspect these objects: Appliance Settings: Proxies (HTTP..." and the proxy settings configuration marked red. (see attachments)

mwg-ui.errors.log:

2021-04-21 12:08:44,646 [WARN ] GlobalConfiguration 'Proxies (HTTP(S), FTP, SOCKS, ICAP...)' (ID 564XXXXXX/cfg/com.scur.engine.proxy.configuration) is evil (highest severity ERROR). Validation summary:

I've compared both configuration storage folders before and after and there are no changes between them, so why MWG decided the config is evil? 🙂

MWG 10.1.1

Re: MWG: GUI issue warning after applying the same configuration using REST API

Can you see in detail which setting is evil? Is it the proxy listeners? This is an inline list. Validation of inline lists is unfortunately missing, so the setting is accepted but not validated.

Can you check what happens if you restart the mwg-coordinator after the REST changes? Is the issue still being shown?

Re: MWG: GUI issue warning after applying the same configuration using REST API

Hello Andre,

sadly there is no information about the cause of the warning. Also in the mwg-ui.errors there is nothing after "Validation summary:". Is there any way to enable verbose logging?

A restart of mwg-coordinator on an appliance where I logged on and a new (forced) login seems to help.

So it is just a cosmetic issue that can be ignored? I would like to know what can be done to avoid it.
