MWG 7.8.2 cannot access interface counters by snmp

Jump to solution

Hi

yesterday we upgraded our webgateway appliances from 7.7.2.x to 7.8.2.4. Since then we cannot read interface counters by snmp anymore.

We use the OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2 (interface description) to find the interface name. Now all descriptions jus show "Intel Corporation I350 Gigabit Network Connection", so it's not possible to look for a specific interface anymore. That's a bad change.

Does anybody know of a workaround or about some info how to map the intefaces to the standard MIB?

Is this already a known problem?

Regards, Othmar

thank you. However that OID does not match very well with the index from 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1 to check for errrors and discards.

In the meantime I found that 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.1 helps quite well.
