MCP 2.5.0 in MacOS 10.14.6 will lead to surfing very slow

Hi,

Although ˊ2.5.0 support the 10.14.6 based on the release notes. In my environment all new install  OS with MCP 2.5.0 or upgrade from 10.14.5, both will get the issue.  With MCP 2.4.0 is fine. How to collect the log in Mac?

BTW, upgrade MacOS 10.14.5 with MCP 2.4.0 to 10.14.6, the MCP can't upgrade to 2.5.0. Need to remove by the cmd.

Hello @ThomasSu ,

Thank you for your query,

This may help

Endpoint Security for Mac 10.x Known Issues

Technical Articles ID:   KB85855

ENSM-1447 KB90888 10.6.5   Issue: The user interface of the following products is not listed in the console when installing with ENSM 10.6.5.
  • Data Loss Prevention 11.3.0
  • Management of Native Encryption 4.1.5
  • McAfee Client Proxy 2.3.6
For more information, see KB90888

IMPORTANT: McAfee recommends that customers:

  • Upgrade the McAfee products that they use in their environment to the 64-bit version before they upgrade the macOS to Mojave.
  • Install the 64-bit versions in High Sierra or Sierra before they upgrade to macOS Mojave.

NOTES:

  • McAfee does not support the co-existence of 32-bit and 64-bit McAfee products. Migration to 64-bit applications is required because of an operating system limitation; it can't co-exist with 32-bit legacy products. During the migration, there is an impact to local user interface capabilities for some of the 32-bit legacy products as outlined below.
  • When you migrate ENSM from 10.2.3 or 10.5.0 to 10.5.5, the following legacy versions of the products do not have any local interface capabilities until they are migrated to the 64-bit version:
    • Data Loss Prevention
    • File and Removable Media Protection
    • Management of Native Encryption
ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) manageability does continue for these legacy products. When these products are migrated to their 64-bit versions, the local interface capabilities are restored.

Minimum supported versions are the versions available at the time of the macOS release. For clarification on what later versions support this operating system, see the Supported Environments articles.
Based on the earlier communication from Apple regarding notarization of third-party applications, McAfee is notarizing the products listed under macOS 10.15.x. IMPORTANT: McAfee recommends that customers upgrade the McAfee products that they use in their environment to the notarized version before they upgrade the macOS to Catalina. NOTES:
  • McAfee does not support the co-existence of notarized and non-notarized McAfee products.
  • When you migrate ENSM from 10.5.5 (and later) to 10.6.5, the legacy versions of the following products do not have any local interface capabilities until they are migrated to the notarized version:
    • Data Loss Prevention
    • Management of Native Encryption
    • McAfee Client Proxy

Re: MCP 2.5.0 in MacOS 10.14.6 will lead to surfing very slow

Hi @amit_naidu ,

This KB didn't help.

Base on the MCP 2.5.0 release notes, it did support 10.14.x. As I mention in the first, MCP upgrade from 2.4.0 is not workable. Both 2.4.0 and 2.5.0 are 64 bit.

MCP 2.5.0 did install correctly  and it should be malfunction in the 10.14.5. At the same time MCP 2.4.0 work greatly.
