Log handler rule groups

Jump to solution

Hi forum!

It's a very easy question I've been trying to figure out for a few hours.

How can I select which log handler use?. For example if I create a new one with some rules and criteria set to always, this log handler is never used (all the rules work if I create them under "Default" log handler).

Thank you in advance.

Hi Jose,

You can set the Log Handler in the Rulesets. In your rules, create a rule which has an event to set the log handler.

Having said this, generally log handlers are not commonly used because they add additional complexity which can be handled in the default log handler, but one could argue that they simplify things as well. To each their own!

Best Regards,

Jon

Thank you Jon!

I have been running tests and my new log handler rules group is working fine.
