I just upgraded our MWG on premise appliances to the current main release (10.2.3) and I see a few new settings under Configuration > Proxies: Inactivity Timeout (default = 120), Load Balancing Algorithm (default = round robin), and Stickiness (default = enabled.) I read the basic description of these settings in the MWG product guide, however I'd like a more detailed explanation regarding best practice configuration should be for these settings. Is there a KB available with more details? The default timeout setting for inactivity of 120 seconds seems pretty short, and I'm not sure how beneficial it is to have stickiness enabled, or whether or not I'm better off using least connections instead of round robin.
Thanks

Hello!
The default setting were in place since we switched to haproxy in version 8.2. Since then those values were hardcoded. Only in the latest 10.2.3 we made these defauls configurable.
Since the default values are known to work good and have been in place for a while, those are considered best practice. I recommend to only change these values until you have a good reason and/or support/engineering advises to change these values.
Best,
Andre
