How to use customer maintained lists?

Jump to solution

If I want to use customer maintained lists (IP-Addresses, "Type" = "IP"), I got the following error: "Download of customer subscribed list: preview (com.scur.type.ip.17332) failed. Not possible to create the list because the content could not be identified"

In the documentation I can't find anything about the format of such a list.

Has anybody an idea which format this list should have?

A list like this works for me:

type=ip

"192.168.0.0" "My ip addresses"

"192.168.2.2" "a single ip address"

"10.1.1.1" "another address"

172.16.1.1

1.2.3.4

If at all possible, I like to use IPRange lists instead. You can define a single ip with a /32, but it also allows for subnets if you ever need them in the future instead of having a second list.

type=iprange

"192.168.0.0/16" "My ip addresses"

"192.168.2.2/32" "a single ip address"

"10.1.1.0-10.1.2.255.255" "a spanning range"

172.16.0.0/12

Thank you.

"type=ip" was the missing one. The necessary syntax was not shown in the documentation.

For simple list types, the first line must be one of the following:

type=applcontrol

type=category

type=dimension

type=ip

type=iprange

type=mediatype

type=number

type=regex

type=string

( for the next time someone googles it )
