How to disable YouTube API fetch

Jump to solution

Hi,

We have planned to disable YouTube API fetch.

How can I disable the fetch?

Error on the dashboard:

Timeout during data fetch (Origin: External Lists Filter, ID 1804)

Thanks,

Gagan

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

As per you last update after disabling the rule set , you now still see API  calls being made from one MWG.

Can you once check if the config/policy is in sync on this MWG.

Please refer below link for more information on this:-

Look for How do I verify my cluster is in sync?   part in above link.

Hello,

normally you have a Youtube API v3 rule set in the policy where in the first rule your API key is configured.

You would simply need to disable the entire rule set if you do not want to use it anymore. This should also stop the API calls. The rest of the policy is anyway depending on a successful data fetch in order to get the different values. So the filtering will not work if data is not fetched.

Thanks for getting back Marcel.

I have disabled the Rule set completely but still see API calls been made from one Web Gateway still.

Is there anything I am still missing here.

Hi Alok,

Thanks for the tip.

After investigation, I found was indeed related to sync.

One of the Web Gateways was few mins off from other 3 WG's.

Thanks,

Gagan

  1. Go to the API Console.
  2. From the projects list, select a project or create a new one.
  3. If the API Manager page isn't already open, open the console left side menu and select API Manager.
  4. Next to the API, you want to disable, click Disable.
