Yes, this is a fine workaroung. But it depends on an available Administrator who changes the Policy 🙂

Well there were massive changes in MCP 2.3 that are totally undocumented as far as I know...
- No more logs available on end users' computers in "%ProgramData%\McAfee\MCP\Logs" that we can use to diagnose an issue (they are now replaced by ETL logs only usable by McAfee support)
- captive portal change (now checking the string 'McAfee\n' instead of 'McAfee' in http://mcp.webwasher.com/test/MCP.txt)
- the MCP service disappears when ESP mode is on
I guess we have to discover these when we try the new versions.

yes, there a massive changes. At the moment i´m not shure how i should handle the new version.
Try to use the "tracerpt.exe" file to convert an ETL file to a XML File.
