Further, let me just share these points to check: 1) MWG uses 2 ports for DXL, 8443 is used for initial connection and 443 is used for further communication. Port 443 is configured by default in MWG UI and 8443 is hardcoded in the config file.
These ports must match with the following in ePO under "Configuration" > "Server Settings" > "Ports": -443 (default "Agent handler port" in MWG UI) with "Agent-server communication secure port" in ePO (can only be enabled or disabled) -8443 with "Console-to-application server communication port" (cannot be changed in ePO UI, probably via config files)
2) upgrade to latest MWG version because of 2 important reasons: a) 7.8.x is almost EOL: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB93330 b) there are different DXL client versions in MWG, so newer MWG version will have newer DXL version and newest/latest should be used to avoid older issues/bugs
3) check if latest MePO extension is properly installed on ePO
If all this does not help, I would suggest to open a ticket with this information: a) version of ePO, MWG and naimserv.dll from ePO server under: "C:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator" (right click > properties > details) b) feedback file from MWG
Support can then check this and if necessary, request further needed debug data.
