How does the McAfee Web Gateway 7 integrate with Active Direct?

I found on Youtube video guide, but in vers 6.8. In v. 7 interface is different. I'm intergrated AD to Webgateway, but don't understand how to add domain users as on v. 6.8?

Please, share to me new video guide with v. 7?

Hello,

I am not sure if we have a specific video tutorial on this. Have you seen the MWG 7.0 demonstration videos? I think they also talk about Authentication and show some hints. You can start with:

Re: How does the McAfee Web Gateway 7 integrate with Active Direct?

Hello,

Thanks for quick answer!

Yes, I have seen that video. But there is just about creating & filtering rules for various users.

I have integrated webgateway into AD as a computer. Now I don't understand how to authentificate windows domain users in webgateway?

In this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyRLdHxYJtI simply shown how to do it.

But in MWG other interface.

Re: How does the McAfee Web Gateway 7 integrate with Active Direct?

HI,

Add a new rule from the library: Policy > Rule Sets, klick on the green Add, then choose "Top Level Ruleset" > "Import from library". Pick "Direct Proxy Authentication and authorization". This example uses the built in user database. Change the authentication type to refelct NTLM, but klicking on the User Database setting, rename it to NTLM (or whater you like) change the Authentication Method to NTLM and you are done. You now need to reflect the groups accordingly in the authorization rule.
