Attached is an example of how to allow specific twitter accounts. The example uses "McAfee" you will need to add any specific accounts you would like to the "Allowed Twitter Accounts" list:

Moving this to the product area as this is more of a configuration question.

Hello,

I think we need more details in order to understand what the problem is.

First of all it would be important to know which version of Web Gateway we are talking about. Is it 6 or 7?

Furthermore, can you give an example URL to allow us to see how we can allow it?

Best,

Andre

Hello,

ok i want to permit the video embeded in the category general new, even when i have the category streaming to block.

For example

this is an permit URL www.aporrea.org

and the video i want to see is  http://www.youtube.com/embed/gEpT-ok5BLI

This is the URL http://www.aporrea.org/medios/n191012.html that contains the video.

Hello,

this is probably not so easy. The URL you are accessing with the browser, which is "aporrea.org" is listed in General News, but the video is actually coming from "youtube.com" which is listed as Straming Media, and will therefore be blocked, which is basically correct.

There are several approaches, but none of them is elegant and secure:

1.) You can put the videos exact URL into a Whitelist, to prevent MWG to block this specific video. If there is only one video you would like users to access, this may be fine.

2.) You can allow all "embedded" Videos, by preventing URLs that match "http://www.youtube.com/embed/*" from being blocked by the URL Filter. This will allow all videos that come from an embedded URL to be allowed. The downside is that a User who is smart enough to find out that embedded videos are allowed may find a way to access other videos by using the embedded URL. However the general access to youtube.com will - of course - still be blocked.

3.) You can use the Referrer Header to detect that a video is linked from within "aporrea.org". This will allow all videos from this site, but will prevent a user to directly access all embedded videos, as in 2. The downside here is that the Referrer header (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Referrer) can be "faked", if a user is experienced enough to find this out. He may modify his browser to send "aporrea.org" in the referrer header for all his web requests, which will allow him to prevent filtering.

4.) Maybe a combination of 2 and 3 is helpful. You could create a rule within the URL Filter rule set (before actual filtering is done), which says if "URL matches http://www.youtube.com/embed/*" AND Header.Request.Get matches *aporrea.org*, then apply the "Stop Ruleset" action. In this case URL filtering will be skipped if the referrer header is in place and matches the URL you have mentioned, and the destination is an embedded Youtube video.

I hope this gives you some ideas about the options you may have. Maybe someone else has a better idea.

best,

Andre

Looking at the list you created, I see a problem with one of the URLs, not sure if it is the issue though.

As for my suggestion, you could allow embedded video if the rerferrer (as suggested by Andre) URL is of the category general news. See below screenshot and attached ruleset.

This would look at the URL, and if the category is "Internet Radio/TV, Media Sharing, Streaming Media, or Content" server, then look at the "Referrer" header, and if that is "General News" allow it.

This is one way of going about it, I'm sure there are others.

you were right about the space, i edited the URL and the proxy doesn't block the URL but anyway i can see the video because use another URL like s.youtube.

i used the rule set you sent me and i can see the video but i can see youtube too, i mean, i can go to the www.youtube.com and that is what i want to block.youtube.JPG

I had a spelling mistake in some of the rules, and also, I was missing a special criteria.
