Hostname variable in email address

Jump to solution

I've used the host name variabel %h in other areas but it seems it doesn't work in  the Sender name field in Email Notification Settings. I have 4 Web Gateways and would like to identify which one is sending me email with something like %h@domain.com as the sender name. Using %h produces a sender name literally %h@domain.com. Is there a varaible that I can use to accomplish this?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Erich

You can use System.HostName.

I concat a literal and the host name to the subject line:

Email.Send ("Admin Email Address Here", String.Concat ("Site Review Request: ", System.HostName), User-Defined.notificationMessage)<Site Review Requests Email>

So it sounds like I'd have to edit every one of the rules that sends mail then? That will work.

It's unfortunate that this can't be done centrally in the "Email Notification" settings.

Sorry. I can't see any other way.
