Help for implementing MCP (McAfee Client Proxy)

Hello friends, can someone help me to implement MCP?

• On the client's desktop I installed the following file McpInstaller.x64

          (client --> StandAlone)

• After installing the client.

* I don't see any icons next to the clock.

• On the Web Gateway, I installed a rule using the library.

• Configure the MCP as follows:

What should I do?
Should the authentication rule be at the top?
How to make the client communicate with the Web Gateway?

Please refer below for more details on MCP deployment, MCP policy creation, configure auth rule in MWG.

In the MCP policy you need to enter proxy details for MCP to redirect traffic to that proxy

I looked at that link.

We don't have the ePO or the cloud environment.

We only have the Web Gateway.

I installed the client and I cannot perform any configuration.

I installed the client (Signed_StandAlone). I don't know if this is the correct version.

I configured the web gateway as shown in the original post.

I did not succeed. What I need to do?

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

In that case you wont be able to configure MCP policy.  MCP policy is the one wherein you configure the proxy servers details to which MCP should sent traffic to, you configure your exclusions etc etc and then this MCP Policy is being applied to MCP installed on the machines.
