Im trying to put together a Rule-set for accessing Dropbox Web.

Trying to restrict this to only allow specific Dropbox urls but not very successful.

The only way ive managed to get some sort of rule is to grant specific users (and members of an ad group) total access to Dropbox.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi Snoobie!

In order to get this to work, you must have SSL scanner enabled and we must allow the SSL tunnel to get established to understand what dropbox account the user is trying to access.

If SSL scanning is off, MWG never knows the real URL they are trying to access. The guide below instructs you how to allow the SSL Tunnel, after that it's a matter of allowing the specific URL:

Hi snoobi,

i fully agree with , if you do not enable SSL scanning you cannot look into the content sent/received from/to dropbox.

, what type of URL you want to block? What should be the goal of your ruleset?

Cheers
