Re: Does Webgateway has the Port scanning capability???

What do you mean by scan ports?  As in check a remote host to see what it is listening on?  I have not seen any such functionality in the product.

What is the end goal you are trying to accomplish?

Re: Does Webgateway has the Port scanning capability???

Keep in mind that HTTP and HTTP are not port numbers, and can technically use any port.  The standard HTTP/HTTPS ports are 80/443 respectively.

Second point, the Web Gateway can log any of the requests it receives.  So if you want to know if MWG can log something, you should be asking, does it receive the traffic.

If you are talking about standard web browsers that are using explicit proxy configuration, then they redirect traffic to the proxy reguardless of the remote port.  In that case, Web Gateway would log them as any other requests. The port numbers would be seen in the URL in the detail data set.  ex:  https:www.something.com:5432/hello.html
