Developer population: Dependencies download in compilation mode with ATD scanning

Hello, Regarding non-interactive http browsing. In Dev teams, Package managers that perform many requests to get all dependencies, which versions are available, which artifacts (source, binary, docs...) are available in that version, download the artifact, ... and that for all project dependencies and recursively on dependencies of dependencies. ATD is returning a patience page if one specific request was a analyzed while it was checking it. This patience page might disrupt the build process as dev tools will not know how to process it. This can be done quite often on dev machines and also on CI/CD platforms. Even if it’s every 100 requests, these tools might do hundreds of requests to check and fetch all dependencies (recursively..) have you considered this use case, and what the mcAfee ATD + Web gateway best practices recommended to be followed on this specific USE CASE?

Re: Developer population: Dependencies download in compilation mode with ATD scanning

Hi there @User75162992

This is an excellent question, but is best answered by the Web Gateway team.  That is where any rules tweaks will happen as the MWG is what controls what is sent to ATD and what isn't.  I will move the topic to that forum for those experts to look at.

Was my reply helpful?
