Custom redirect possible?

Jump to solution

Hi everyone!!

Hopefully someone can help me ....

Is there a way of redirecting to a URL but adding variables to the direct?

With Bluecoat proxies - I can redirect to :

http://myredirect.server.intranet/exception.aspx?proxy=$(proxy.name)&cs-categories=$(cs-categories)&...)

This way I can create workflow based on the variables - proxy.name, category, exceptionid, url, user and IP.

Is the only way with MWG, to host the page on the MWG and create the exception page there?

thanks!!!

In MWG 7 this is very simple.

There is a property "Redirect.URL" that is writable, you can set it in an event with any rule (usually done in the rule that has the Redirect action). In that event you can compile any URL with any parameters you like.

Perfect answer...

If anyone else wanted to know this :

Set Redirect.URL = "http://myinternal.server/exception.aspx?proxy="

+ IP.ToString (Proxy.IP)

+ "&cs-categories="

+ List.OfCategory.ToString (URL.Categories<Default>)

+ "&http_code=403&exception_id-deny_by_policy&url="

+ URL

+ "&user="

+ Authentication.UserName

+ "&ip="

+ IP.ToString (Client.IP)
