Change Minimal/Maximal TTL for DNS cache

Hello! I nedd to icrease Minimal/Maximal TTL for DNS cache. How can I do this? in Web Console: 1. Configurations-> Appliances -> .. ->Domain Name System doesn't provide me to configure it. 2. Configurations-> File Editor doesn't include any of config files in it. My Account has maximum roles and rights.

1) the minimum and maximum TTL values for DNS can be configured under "Configuration" > "Proxies" > scroll down to "DNS settings".

2) regarding no files in file editor even with all roles/rights, you can try the following:

  • Make sure that no users are logged in to the UI.
  • Open the MWG login page in the browser.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds and make sure nobody (re-)loads the login page or logs in meanwhile. This is the default time for Tomcat detaching from the Coordinator. On Tomcat detach, all currently loaded data inside it is discarded.
  • Reload MWG login page in the browser. This causes Tomcat to (re-)attach to the Coordinator and to load all data (anew) from it.
  • Click the HTML UI link, login and see if the files are shown.
  • If no files are shown, try a Reload Data from Backend - if the file nodes are still not shown, try reloading a second time. This can be done by navigating to "Configuration" > "File Editor", then expand the "down arrow" on the right side of the "Save changes" button and select "Reload Data from Backend".

If all this does not help, you can try a "service mwg-ui restart" which also might solve it but then root cause can possibly not be found anymore. If you are interested in finding root cause, then above steps should be tried without service restart and then create feedback file and open a SR.
