Good morning,
Running MWG 7 version 7103
Due to the increased number of advertisements serving up malware my boss inquired about blocking advertisements from websites. I remember this option in version 6 and was wondering if there was a way to do it in version 7.
Thanks
Hi,
I have found some information about your question.
Policy/Settings
go to Engines
choose -- gtw antimalware
1. select: Potentially unwanted: Ad-/Spyware
When selected, the following is blocked: Applications that show potentially annoying or unwanted advertisements, but also track and analyze the user’s activities and behavior.

yes it is.
take a look here:
Hello,
one way MWG 6.x used to remove advertisments/banners from web sites was removing images of a specific size. This can be done with version 7 by using the attached rule set.
An example page to see if banners are removed is
http://www.bannercreator.nu/banner-size.html
Best,
Andre

Hi Lance,
I assume you do not have McAfee Anti-Malware licensed, but not McAfee Gateway Anti-Malware.
If you send me your license ID via PM, I can verify this.
Best,
Andre
