We have had a number of occurrences recently where the web gateway appliance has stopped reading the URL filter list and depending on whether the default setting is to allow access to uncategorized sites or not users either get a total block or total access. It would seem that if the appliance does not read the URL database it sees all sites as unauthorized. Has anyone else seem this and if so how did you fix it?
has this been resolved? There are several reasons why the URL DB can't load, one would be a corrput download, whereas we have countermeasures in the product against this situation. Adress Space fragmentation might be another reason. Did work after a restart?
If it happens again, I'd suggest to open an incident with support in order to troubleshoot this more deeply.
