Anti-Malware Engine Overloaded

Multiple users affected-

Anti-Malware engine overloaded and administrator does not allow content without being checked for antivirus

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

 

Recently we had seen some connection issues to GTI servers (NA region ) reported which could be the cause for GAM overload.

 

If the queue is full (i.e. there are 1000 scanning requests), all new requests are blocked (with default rules) with a message like "AV is overloaded" until the queue is no longer full. If a scanning request is in the queue and the 25 threads don't have time to handle the request within 30 seconds, it is removed and the file is blocked with the "AV is overloaded" message

 

You can configure fail open scenario so that users dont get anti malware overload error message as per below link:-

Alok,

Thank you. It would have been helpful if McAfee had shared that with their customers. We have 2 MWG accounts and the one which did not run into an issue, we had changed the AV threads to 35.
