Analyzing SSL traffic bypasses proxy server ?

Hi All,

In using Mcafee Web Gateway v7.5.2.5.0 (20828), how is that possible to know if there are some workstation SSL traffic that bypass the proxy server ?

Hi Mekafir,

If you have MWG setup in a transparent mode, then theoretically all SSL traffic should be making it to MWG.

For more info check out our article on Direct vs Transparent deployments:

Often most customers will use both modes in order to achieve the most effective filtering.

If you have MWG setup in a transparent mode, then theoretically all SSL traffic should be making it to MWG.

many thanks ​, Now I am fully understood that by default MWG is already secure .
