Re: 7.8.2 Improved processing of Skype traffic

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

Processing of Skype traffic on MWG has been improved by removing issues that impacted the processing when HTTPS scanning was also activated. This is achieved through letting Skype traffic bypass HTTPS scanning.

Bypassing can be enabled if skipping content scanning is considered an acceptable risk. Certification Verification will still happen in this case.

Re: 7.8.2 Improved processing of Skype traffic

Hi @ariess,

in version 7.8.2 there is a new checkbox on the SSL scanner settings. Here you can check a checkbox which is called "Identify and bypass Skype for business traffic".

This way the web gateway will automaticly detect Skype for business traffic and will bypass it from the SSL scanning because otherwise the SSL scanner would break the traffic.

If you did an upgrade from a previous version you would have to import the SSL scanner again which now is called "HTTPS scanning".
