Hello,
Our company is setting up a restricted demo environment for a product that we produce. The goal is to only allow access to about a dozen web sites and block virtually all other web access. I have done this by using a Web Filtering list to block all reputations, and then created a Global Bypass list using domains to allow the URLs we want. This works fine for everything except embedded videos.
Specifically we want to allow video to play from espn.com, so I have allowed espn.com, espncdn.com, and espn.net as that seemed to be all the traffic I could pinpoint coming off their pages. Regardless, when I click to play a video, the player just turns black and never loads any content. I tried with Netflix and Youtube to similar results as well.
Any thoughts about our approach or suggestions of what to try?

For anyone else who may try something similar, the issue came down to the HTML video player that was embedded into the site. The video player is downloaded from another site (in this case, players.brightcove.net) and once that URL was added to the whitelist, it started working perfectly.
I like your article, I tried it with my Netflix app download at ModCombo, on my Samsung A2 phone. I have received positive results.
