I just opened a case on McAfee Support for an issue im having with Vulnerability Manager 7 R2 after an OS upgrade.
I followed the step by step guide proposed by McAfee for this type of upgrade, but after all the enterprise manager is presenting this issue:
|The connection to the McAfee Vulnerability Manager API Service could not be made. Contact your administrator. |
Try this- In FCM, Try to rebuild your certificate authority and let FCM push out new certs to everything.
Recreated the certificate authority.
Still having same API error.
The connection to the McAfee Vulnerability Manager API Service could not be made. Contact your administrator.
I also see a lot of SSL Connection Error 1 and SSL Connection Error 5 on the FCServer.log.
Im also seeing this error on the LogFile.date.log:
FSComm server: SSL Accept ERror - EOF was observed that violates the protocol. The client probably provided invalid authentication information. SSL_accept() failed in soap_ssl_accept().
I had this happen when i performed an upgrade to ver 7.I just rebuilt the system using the upgrade cds and selected all the defaults.
It seems to be when you don't select the defaults when installing the software it throughs a wobbly..I just rebuilt it and it works fine now..
