I am running Foundtone 7.0 Everything ahs been working fine for about 9 months, but today it dropped the connection to the database. I can't seem to get it back.
I looked through the forum, but saw nothing useful. I really need help badly. Should I consider a complete reinstall??
Your screenshot is very small, but to me it seems you don't have any DB Address, User or Password configured. You should track those down, and fill them in, and try again to get the DB to connect. Can you log into SQL Management Studio?
Reinstall seems a bit severe.

What changed today that it all the sudden stopped working? Was today the first day in a while that you've rebooted? Are they McAfee Appliances, or your own Hardware? Whether or not your Windows credentials will allow you to authenticate to SQL depends on how you've setup the SQL Server.
I can't tell if you were able to login to SQL Management Studio? Is that where you said you had a timeout? Have you tried with the SA or Faultline Account? If you've forgotten your credentials, that will be a problem. You should consider opening a Support Service Request, as the forum is really not the best place to get technical help.
