Limit scanning to 20 concurrent TCP session per IP range

Hi all,

I'm designing a new scan setup on our MVM 7.5. I have been provided with a requirement from our network team stating that our scanning must be limited to 20 concurrent TCP session per IP range. How do I setup this? Anyone known if it can be setup in the scan template or can we use workgroups some how?

Re: Limit scanning to 20 concurrent TCP session per IP range

hi swp,

I may not be understanding your terminology very well.

MVM allows you to optimize many scan parameters that will allow the performance of the scan to be finely tuned or throttled even.  Things like Number of IPs to scan at a time (Batch size), Ports to scan, Timeouts, packet delays, threads and which vuln checks you select.  These are done at the scan level.

I hope that helps!
Cathy
