Import server names into Vulnerability scanner

Jump to solution

Hi is there a way of importing a list of server names (not IP addresses) from an Excel spreadsheet into MVM for vulnerability scanning? If so please describe the process as I can't seem to fathom it out.

Many thanks.

Hi. I haven't done it from an excel SS, but have done it from a plain old text file with each server name on its own line.

When you create a new scan as follows:

Click SCAN

click NEW SCAN

choose whatever base setting you need

click NEXT

click the IMPORT BUTTON (looks like a spreadsheet, but the export button is very simlar).

browse to your txt file.

click upload

continue as normal.

I use MVM 7.5.

Good luck.

Joe.
