How to check a Windows Service using MVM

hi,

can we check a windows (win xp) service with vulnerability manger? i know that  we can define a user-defined service under Global Admin>Manage>Policy but i couldnt see results whether it checked this service or not? i have used compliance templates (windows compliance templates and baseline compliance template)
