I have the latest version of Total Protection on a Windows 7 computer that has just recovered from an unexpected shut down. Now, Real-Time Scanning won't stay on. What can I do?
Yes. I have installed and run MVT. It reported that McAfee had no problems. Yet, shortly afterwards, McAfee itself reported that my computer was at risk and the Real-Time Scanning turned itself off again.
No, I have no other security programs on my computer.

Have you tried what Tromine wrote, the steps from the KB??
Performing a manual Update should resolve this issue the vast majority of times.
If not, try the rest of the steps and make sure you dont have any other antivirus or firewall installed on your system, that might be preventing McAfee from working properly.
